It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Happy December, Blue Streaks! This past weekend, my family and I made our annual trek to Granger’s Christmas Tree Farm near Syracuse, New York, to cut down our Christmas tree. Though there was no snow on the ground, being together with my family helped me to feel the festive season. Cutting down our own tree is one of my favorite family traditions, and it means there is less than a month until Christmas! Send some photos of your family celebrating your favorite holidays to Aiden Keenan, photo editor, at [email protected] to be featured in an upcoming Carroll News holiday photo page. Happy holidays, Blue Streaks!

Every year, Christmas trees reach an ideal height for being brought home for holiday festivities. Customers must be careful not to get lost among the acres of trees.

After about 30 minutes, my family found our perfect tree.

Most years, the ground is blanketed by snow when we cut down our tree. This year, though, we knelt on slightly muddy ground to saw through the stump.

After cutting down the perfect tree, my family took turns dragging it on a sled back to the shop.

After being cut down, trees are rested upon the buildings so that the employees can tie them together before customers bring them home.
