
Each week The Carroll News sports section names five Blue Streak athletes “Streaks of the Week”. Congratulations to this week’s athletes on their outstanding performances.
Women’s Basketball: Junior, Sarah Balfour

The women’s team picked up right where they left off with two dominant wins over Heidelberg. Leading the way in the second victory was Balfour, who registered a career-high 15 points.
Men’s Basketball: Sophomore, Eric Hanna

While it was tough sledding for the men’s team on Friday — as they dropped their first game of the season to Heidelberg, a bright spot was Hanna who finished with a team-high 11 points> He also made three triples in the first start of his young career.
Men’s Track and Field: Sophomore, Alex Phillip

Phillip ran a 5K for the ages last Saturday in the OAC Meet at Otterbein. The sophomore ran the race in 14:33.65, setting a new school record. His time currently ranks second in the nation.
Women’s Track and Field: Sophomore, Taylor Anthony

Anthony also had a great day on the track as she won the 60-meter dash in 7.9 seconds. It was the sophomore’s first win as a Blue Streak and she also earned OAC Athlete of the Week.
Wrestling: Freshman, Jeff Kusar

At the Baldwin Wallace Duals, the No. 2 ranked team in the country Blue Streaks, lost to the Yellow Jackets but defeated Otterbein soundly. Kusar picked up his first collegiate win against the Cardinals at heavyweight.
