Maia Echols

Maia Echols, Staff Reporter

Maia is a Staff Reporter for The Carroll News from North Royalton, Ohio. She is a sophomore at John Carroll University who is double majoring in political science and peace, justice and human rights. She is also part of the Arrupe Social Justice Scholars program.
In addition to her involvement in The Carroll News, Maia is involved with the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, the University Club, Campus Ministry and the Center for Service and Social Action. She participates in weekly service twice a week and loves working with different communities.
Off campus, Maia works at Vans and Pandora. When she isn't writing or working on homework, Maia can be found painting, skateboarding, spending time with friends or listening to music. Some of her favorite artists include 5 Seconds of Summer, Sublime and The 1975.
In the future, Maia hopes to become a criminal defense lawyer and work for a law firm.
