UPDATE: JCU Adds 30 More Rapid COVID-19 Testing Slots For Students
Nov 16, 2020
John Carroll University today added 30 more COVID-19 testing time slots to ensure students have the opportunity to be tested for COVID-19 prior to returning home for Thanksgiving break.
In an email sent out on Nov. 11 John Carroll University announced free rapid COVID-19 testing for students living in areas surrounding the campus. Encouraging students to get tested before traveling home to see their families, the email stated there was a large supply of tests available, yet testing spots quickly filled up as students made plans to return home for the holiday.
This morning the university added 30 more time slots, which will allow additional students to be tested prior to returning home.
Students are encouraged to sign up for a 15-minute time slot, which can be done from a phone or computer. To register for a free COVID-19 test, click here.
Testing is being offered Monday, Nov. 16 and Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Testing will take place in the Student Health Center located in the basement of Murphy Hall.
Before coming to campus, students are required to download the #CampusClear app to track their symptoms. Also, prior to being tested, students will need to download the Navica app to receive the test results. The Carroll News will continue to release stories on the developing situation for students.
