Men’s Basketball — Omar Abuhamdeh ‘25

After seeing only a combined six minutes of play across two games this season, Abuhamdeh exploded onto the scene against Muskingum where he scored a game-high 17 points, going 6/6 in shooting which included five three pointers. JCU is now undefeated and ranked #9 in the latest d3hoops.com poll.

Women’s Basketball — Ava Ryncarz ‘26

While both seniors Kaelyn Underwood and Jaylen Hoffmann played sparingly during the second half of the basketball game against Muskingum University due to injuries, Ryncarz stepped up big to preserve JCU’s first OAC win of the season. The freshman scored 15 points and also had seven rebounds and three assists. She also had 14 first half points in a victory over Denison last week.

Wrestling — Andrew Perelka ‘23

Perelka went undefeated and won his bracket at 133 at the RIT Invitational. A few weeks ago, at the Olivet Comet Duals, he also broke JCU’s all-time career pin record doing it in 41 seconds against a wrestler from Alma.

Men’s Swimming — Aidan O’Neill ‘23

O’Neill won the 200 freestyle and came in second in the 500 freestyle in the tri-meet against Oberlin and Notre Dame College. The senior was also on the winning 400 freestyle relay team.

Women’s Swimming — Ashley Lynch ‘23

Lynch shined during JCU’s tri-meet with Oberlin and Notre Dame College as she placed first in the 200 freestyle and was on the winning 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay teams.
