About 579 undergraduate and 208 graduate students will soon become official alumni of John Carroll University.
Looking at the undergraduate class, students have chosen to study a wide variety of majors. According to the Registrar’s Office, 236 students will be graduating from the Boler College of Business, 335 students will be graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences and 8 students will be graduating from the College of Health.
The top majors of the class of 2026 include finance (72 students), biology (56 students), marketing (52 students), psychology (41 students), accountancy (40 students) and exercise science (33 students).
Former “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd has been chosen as the commencement speaker.
Looking at the graduate class, 61 students will be graduating from the Boler College of Business, 95 will be graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences and 52 will be graduating from the College of Health.
The top majors for the graduate students include clinical mental health counseling (76 students), Boler MBA (40 students), professional MBA (12 students) and sports leadership (11 students).
As for the schedule of events for the weekend, the ROTC Commissioning Ceremony will take place on May 15 at 11 a.m., followed by the Nursing Department Pinning Ceremony at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, May 16, the Graduate Commencement will take place at 11 a.m., followed by the Baccalaureate Mass at 4:30 p.m.
Finally, on Sunday, May 17, the Undergraduate Commencement will take place at 11 a.m. More information can be found at https://www.jcu.edu/events/commencement/.
For some final words from seniors, Joe Nadur ’26 shared one of his favorite memories from JCU. “Senior Day,” he said. “I was on the swim team, so Senior Day was my last dual meet here at JCU. It was a lot of fun.”
Cameron Bell ’26 shared her favorite memory as well. “I would say one of my favorite JCU memories has been Jesuit Day of Service. It was not only super fun and rewarding, but it also is something that highlights what makes JCU so special: connection and community!”
