5 Bing-Worthy Shows on Netflix

Before classes really start to pick up, you might want to knock a few Netflix must-sees off your list. Several noteworthy films and TV series were added to Netflix streaming this summer, and you’ll want to watch them before they’re gone. Not sure where to begin? Here are five suggestions to get you started.

“Riverdale.” Before Season Three premieres next month, catch up on the first two seasons of The CW’s hit series. Originally based on the Archie Comics by Bob Montana and John L. Goldwater, “Riverdale” follows Archie Andrews and his closest friends as they solve crime and navigate their way through high school.

“To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” Based on Jenny Han’s best-selling novel, high school junior Lara Jean’s worst nightmare comes to life when all five of her crushes get wind of her feelings for them. Having strong feelings for her older sister’s boyfriend, Lara Jean does all in her power to mask her attraction to him, yet it results in (spoiler alert) one of the most-shipped (fictional) relationships of summer.

“Moana.” Remember that Disney-pixar movie that was all the rave last summer? It’s finally on Netflix streaming! After watching Disney’s latest critically acclaimed and Oscar-nominated film, Moana may become your new favorite princess.

“Black Panther.” Perhaps the most notable addition to Netflix this month is Marvel’s “Black Panther,” which took theaters by storm last February. If you missed your chance to see it on the big screen and don’t own a physical copy, now is your chance to witness this longawaited celebration of African culture.

“Queer Eye.” This hit Netflix series is actually a reboot of Bravo’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” though subtle changes have been made. Follow the endeavors of five homosexual men as they restyle people’s lives in terms of appearance, style and interior design.
