ELITE DEFENSE FUELS ANOTHER STANDOUT WEEK
Sophomore libero Olivia Mogyordy capped a dominant season by earning All-NCAC First Team honors and surpassing the coveted 1,000-career-digs mark. Mogyordy was a defensive force all year, racking up 597 digs, a staggering 70 more than any other player in the conference. She also led the NCAC with 5.33 digs per set, cementing herself as one of the nation’s most reliable back-row presences. With her breakout season, she now ranks second all-time in program history in digs and sixth in digs per set, solidifying her status as one of JCU’s elite defenders.

SHARP PLAY PUSHES JCU TO THE NEXT ROUND
Graduate student quarterback Nick Semptimphelter earned NCAC Offensive Player of the Week after a masterful performance in JCU’s conference championship win over Denison. Semptimphelter completed 20 of 26 passes for 297 yards and delivered three touchdowns, guiding the Blue Streaks to the title. His efficiency has been unmatched all season, he finished the regular season first in Division III in completion percentage (80%) and ranked fifth nationally in passing efficiency (194.6). Already 4th in JCU history in passing touchdowns and 5th in passing yards, Semptimphelter now looks to add to his legacy as JCU hosts the second round of the NCAA playoffs against Randolph-Macon.

SPARKS THE OFFENSE AS BLUE STREAKS ROLL EARLY
Senior guard Luke Chicone opened the season on fire, earning NCAC Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week after back-to-back high-impact performances. Chicone dropped 22 points in JCU’s 100–96 victory over Olivet, then followed it with a well-rounded 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists in a 103–88 win at Heidelberg. His play earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team at Heidelberg’s Ron Linhart Memorial Classic. A preseason D3hoops.com All-American, Chicone continues to set the pace for the Blue Streaks, who prepare for a two-game weekend against Mount St. Joseph.

SCORING TOUCH LIFTS HER TO THE TOP OF THE NCAC
Senior forward Emily Patrzyk closed out a stellar season as the NCAC’s Offensive Player of the Year and the MVP of the NCAC Tournament. A dynamic scoring threat, Patrzyk tallied 20 points on 8 goals and 4 assists, driving the Blue Streaks’ postseason run. She now sits third all-time in program history in both career points (86) and goals (36), leaving an unmistakable mark on JCU women’s soccer. Patrzyk’s consistency, leadership, and clutch play made her one of the conference’s most feared attackers all season.
