Former Student Gov. President Mike Bishop provided the following statement for The Carroll News regarding his resignation.

“It was after much consideration that effective November 10^th, I resigned my position as President of the John Carroll Student Government.  It was a role that I was honored to serve in and a privilege to advocate for the student body on university-wide issues.  This decision did not come easily to me. I no longer felt that I could align myself with the direction that a select few members of the executive board were heading.

I have high hopes however, for the next administration, led by Erin Ahern.  I believe they will work as a cohesive team, pushing for the organization to higher highs.  I would also like to thank Lauren Phillip and Leah VanDine for always being ready to step in and help as well as the current senators for all their hard work and devotion to the organization.”
