The iconic 2000s Disney heartthrobs, the Jonas Brothers, are back with a successful new single. Social media went crazy over the comeback, with many fans bringing out their old band T-shirts.

It’s safe to say that the band was happily welcomed back into the spotlight with the evidence shown through their single “Sucker” hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 100.

Before their newest single’s accomplishments, their most popular song was the 2008 hit “Burnin’ Up,” which ranked on Billboard’s Top 100 at No. 5. After their new single hit the radio, the band increased  song streams by 357 percent, or 5.2 million streams, according to Billboard.

The same goes for their other past successful songs, such as “Year 3000” and “S.O.S.” Their album “A Little Bit Longer” has also been resurrected, with the album being the band’s first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top 100.

Once the release date hit, “Sucker” still held all the old qualities that the band established back in the mid 2000s, such as their soprano voices and groovy guitar. However, their new song is more modern, without any holdback from Disney.

The band can now be a little more explicit with their songs and images now that they are adults. They are also able to make a new persona for themselves, different from the one they presented before.

When they were younger, the band played off their attractiveness and the fact that they were eligble young men.

Now, they are able to embrace the love for their wives and fiancé as well as themselves and their real life. As Stylecaster put it, “If the Jonas Brothers’ ‘Sucker’ is evidence of anything, it’s that being single is marketable but so are real relationships.”

The music video to “Sucker” is full of strong feminine energy, with Joe Jonas’ fiance Sophie Turner, Kevin Jonas’ wife Danielle Jonas and Nick Jonas’ wife Priyanka Chopra all featured in the video.

Throughout the video, many loving glances are shared by the couples, with inclusion images such as Joe being tied up and Priyanka even shown getting undressed in the end.

Overall, the video seems to be playful, quirky and fun with a ton of sensual energy littered throughout the scenes. The video demonstrates a powerful resurgencence of their careers after years of separate paths.

The song’s success has given a new light to the band’s future. The band’s career looks bright, and many people are eager to see what they will release next after the hints of a revival after the March 1 release. Fans can only hope a full album is to come soon.

The brothers all have their own families and careers so will this reuinion after a six year haitus be short lived? Only time and jamming out to “Sucker” on repeat will tell.
